Who We Are
The Illini Art & Business Collective (IABC) aims to bridge the gap between art, entrepreneurship, and social impact. The IABC’s mission is to provide artists with the skills to share, sell, and fund their works while engaging with the local community by advocating for social and environmental causes. Through mentorship, professional events, and fundraisers, the IABC creates a community where artists can develop both their artistic and business acumen, preparing them to become both leaders and change-makers in their careers and the community. Our objectives include:
Connect artists with business minded individuals to create and market artwork
Help artists develop their entrepreneurial skills through promoting, pricing, and selling their works
Allow artists to share their ideas and artworks with the public through hands on experience such as local fairs, interactive booths, and displays
Organize outreach programs to inspire the public about conservation and social causes through art
Holding weekly discussion sessions centered around competitions, conservation topics, and artistic techniques
Host workshops and guest speaker events with people in the art industry to provide educational opportunities for club members and the community
Create networking opportunities that connects artists with businesses, non-profits, and conservation groups
Raise funds to advocate for social and environmental initiatives through art-fundraising events
Build partnerships with conservation organizations and other campus clubs
Inspire future artists to advocate for causes they care about through their artwork
Organize art contests that engage artists, showcase their work, and foster creative competition
