Life at UIUC can be full of ups and downs - moments of happiness, moments of nostalgia, moments of struggle, and moments of growth - everything that makes student life at UIUC an unforgettable experience.
At UIUC, we embrace the motto “Learning & Labor” - the pursuit of knowledge to one day make an impact on society. But beyond academics and studying, it is the memories and moments that we create with our peers that shape our college experience.
This year’s Illini Bloom: Memories & Moments invites students to capture what makes their experience meaningful at UIUC - whether its the iconic campus landscapes, the bonds forged between friends, or even personal challenges. Through creativity, we hope to celebrate not just the work we put in, but the moments that make it all worthwhile.
Join us as we explore the theme “Memories & Moments - The Story of US at UIUC” in our community artwork! We will be reflecting on the ups and downs of our experience at UIUC - moments of happiness, nostalgia, struggle, and growth and how UIUC’s motto “Learning & Labor” has shaped our journey. Each student will be given a puzzle piece that will ultimately connect together to create a visual art piece that captures the essence of life at UIUC, celebrating the moments that define us and stick with us, even after we leave UIUC.
Illini Bloom: Memories & Moments is open to all UIUC students that are currently enrolled at UIUC. Spots are filling up fast, don’t miss a chance to showcase your creativity and show how your experience at UIUC is so unforgettable! All profit raised from the Illini Bloom: Memories & Moments will be donated to the conservation efforts of the National Fish & Wildlife Service.

What to Expect:
Creating a collective art project that showcases the theme - no previous experience needed! Just bring your creativity! Each student will get a puzzle piece and a chance to work together and complete the puzzle
Story sharing corner - place to write down and write messages about what your experience at UIUC means to you
Polaroid memory board - Capture the moment! If you have a polaroid or digital camera, feel free to bring it to the event! The IABC will also be taking polaroids throughout the event of artists with their puzzle piece and creating a memory board!
